How we review men's supplements
Every product description on this site follows one method. This page shows it in full: where our information comes from, what we record, what we never claim, and how a listing reaches you.
Where our product information comes from
We work from listings that already exist on Indonesian retail and marketplace pages. Nothing on this site is written from a package we have never seen in a listing, and nothing is written from memory of a product name alone.
-
GNC Men's Ultra Saw Palmetto Formula
Described from its Guardian Indonesia men's health listing, including format and capsule count as shown there.
-
GNC Men's Horny Goat Weed
Also described from the Guardian Indonesia men's health listing, so both GNC entries trace to one retail source.
-
Natural Factors Prostcare
Taken from the men's health section of Natural Farm's range, as the listing presents it.
-
Nuvita Tri Zinc + Vitamin B6
From Natural Farm's men's health section, with the same product also appearing in Lazada Indonesia search results.
-
Naturelo men's range
Described from the Naturelo Indonesia men's health page, covering the products listed there.
-
Natures Health Cougar
Referenced from its own Guardian Indonesia listing, with the same fields recorded as every other entry.
If a listing disappears, the description it supported does not stay up on its own. See the update section further down for what happens next.
Six fields per product. Ingredient fields never mix with legal-status fields.
Product name
Exactly as the listing writes it, so you can find the same page yourself and compare word for word.
Format
Capsule, tablet, softgel or powder. This shapes the daily routine more than most people expect.
Headline ingredient
The ingredient the listing leads with. It usually decides which category the product sits in.
Count and serving size
How many units are in the pack and how many the label tells you to take. Together they describe the commitment.
Registration status
BPOM terdaftar, recorded only where the listing shows it — kept in its own field, never folded into an ingredient paragraph.
Halal information
Shown as the listing presents it. A suitability question for the shopper, not a formula question.
Regulatory status versus product performance
These are two different questions, and mixing them is where most supplement pages lose their footing.
- What BPOM terdaftar tells you
- That the product is registered for sale in Indonesia. It describes the product's legal footing, and that is where the meaning stops.
- What it does not tell you
- It says nothing about how a product will work for you, how it compares with another formula, or whether it suits your routine. We never use it as a quality signal beyond what it actually means.
- Where halal status fits
- Halal information is a suitability question for the shopper. It belongs to your decision about whether a product fits what you are looking for, not to a judgment about the formula.
- Why we keep them on separate lines
- A registered product and a well-suited product are different achievements. Holding the fields apart makes each one easier to read honestly, on this page and in the comparison table.
What we do not do
A method is defined as much by its limits as by its output. These limits apply to every page here, without exception, and knowing them tells you what a NovaPoise description can and cannot answer.
-
We do not test products. No lab work happens here, and no product passes through our hands.
-
We do not run clinical trials or present any published study as if it were our own finding.
-
We do not publish user reviews or ratings. There is no star score on this site, and none will be invented for one.
-
We do not quote prices. Prices move, and a number is a poor summary of whether something fits your routine.
-
We do not rank products or name an overall pick. Categories help you compare; a trophy list does not.
-
We do not recommend supplements for medical conditions. If you are managing a health issue or taking prescription medication, that decision belongs after a conversation with a qualified professional.
How we handle missing information
When a listing does not show registration status or halal information, we leave the field blank rather than fill it in. Missing information is not evidence of a problem, and it is not evidence of quality either. It is a gap, and we mark it as one.
Shown in the listing
We record it in the matching field and date the description so the record stays traceable to the source.
Not shown
The field stays empty. No assumption is written in its place, and no blank is dressed up as a finding.
Changed later
If the listing later shows the missing detail, the field is filled from that listing and the page is edited.
You spotted it first
A link or a photo of the label is enough for us to check it. This is the fastest route to a fix.
This is the rule that keeps our comparison table honest. A blank cell and a filled cell mean different things, and you should be able to tell which one you are looking at without guessing.
How often pages are updated
Listings change. Products get reformulated, packaging gets updated, and retail pages get edited or removed entirely. When we notice a change, we update the description rather than leave a stale one in place.
When a product stops appearing in the listings we track, we remove or rewrite the entry instead of maintaining a page we can no longer support. There is no fixed schedule behind this. Corrections from readers are usually the fastest trigger, which is why the next section matters as much as this one.
If you are comparing products on this site and one description looks out of date next to the listing you can see yourself, that is worth telling us about. It is the single most useful message we receive.
Reader corrections and how to send one
We read every message and we credit corrections by fixing the page rather than by publishing a note. The details below cover the questions we get most.
Contact the editorial team
What should I include in a correction?
Send the product name and what looks wrong. If the listing has changed, a link to it is the most useful thing you can add. If a registration field we marked as unavailable is now visible on the packaging, a photo of the label is enough for us to verify it ourselves.
A listing I use has disappeared. Why is the page still up?
It may not be for long. When a product stops appearing in the listings we track, we rewrite or remove the entry rather than keep describing something we can no longer check. Telling us that the listing is gone speeds that up.
Can you tell me which of these is right for me?
No, and that is deliberate. We describe what listings show and where products fit; we do not recommend supplements for medical conditions or tell you which formula suits your body. That conversation belongs with a qualified professional.
Do you accept payment for coverage?
No. We do not accept payment for coverage, and no product entry on this site exists because a brand asked for one. Entries exist because the product appears in an Indonesian listing we can point you to.
Why is there no star rating or user score?
Because we do not publish user reviews or ratings. A score would suggest a judgment we did not make, from people we cannot verify. The comparison table gives you the recorded fields instead, and you decide what matters for your routine.
Now read the page with the method in hand
With the method explained, the rest of the site should read differently. Product pages describe listings rather than rate them, the table holds registration and halal fields apart from ingredient fields, and empty cells mean exactly what they say. If something on a page does not match a listing you can open yourself, send it in and we will check it.
